15, 2003 - Montserrat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Beverly
recently underwent its annual Massachusetts Department of Public Health
re-certification survey, receiving an exceptional score of 43 out of
a possible 44.
Montserrat
is a 202-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by John Albert
and Dianne Barry, also Principals of Landmark Health Solutions, since
October 2002. With the change of ownership, significant improvements
in quality of care have emerged and new, highly skilled staff members
have joined the competent and caring Montserrat family.
Dan Micherone,
well known and respected in the Northshore healthcare community, is
the Administrator. Micherone brings over 30 years of long-term care
experience most recently with Blueberry Hill and Prescott House. Additionally,
in the late 1970's, he was instrumental in the Hunt Nursing Home start-up.
Dan's pride in delivering quality and personalized care to each resident
is unmistakable.
Marie Sullivan
RN, MSN has joined Montserrat as the Director of Nursing, bringing over
25 years of nurse management expertise to the team. Ms. Sullivan is
also well known in the healthcare community as a former Vice President
of Nursing Services at Anna-Jacques Hospital, and having held similar
positions at Atlanticare and Lynn Hospitals.
Dr. Roy
Ruff joined the Montserrat team as Medical Director. Dr. Ruff brings
a wealth of clinical experience and oversight to the facility as a well
renowned, highly respected pulmonologist and a member of the Medical
Group of Beverly.
Elizabeth
Thompson-Brace is the Director of Human Resources for Montserrat. Ms.
Thompson-Brace, a life long Beverly resident, is well known and respected
in the greater Beverly Community.
Dawn Brady,
RN has been added as a clinical nurse liaison. Ms. Brady brings expertise
to the nursing staff as a medical/surgical, cardio-thoracic nurse at
Lahey Clinic.
Montserrat
of Beverly provides long- and short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation
care, specializing in dementia, wound care, and pain management. Its
full-service, on-site rehabilitation staff provides residents with an
individualized approach to treatment. The rehab team currently includes
11 highly skilled occupational, physical, and speech therapists.
All beds
at Montserrat are Medicare and Medicaid certified.
